WHAT IS CRITICAL ROLE
Critical Role is a weekly livestreamed RPG game set in Exandria, which is the world created by veteran voice actor and Game Master, Matthew Mercer. Each week, Matthew leads his friends (also fellow voice actors!) on epic adventures.

WHAT IS D&D
The core of D&D is storytelling. Players tell a story together. Most players role-play adventuring characters they created, such as an elf warlock or dwarf paladin. One player is the Dungeon Master who facilitates the game and narrates the story.

WHY YOU MIGHT LIKE CRITICAL ROLE WITHOUT BEING INTO D&D
Watching players play D&D happens to be much different than actually having to learn the game and its rules. Watching the game is much easier than mastering it. All you have to do is sit down and enjoy the process ! You'll learn about the main strings of the game by just enjoying the show. What differs Critical Role from any other movie or series is that no one knows what comes next in the story, and that's the beauty of D&D !
THE WORLD OF EXANDRIA
Exandria is the name of the world on which most events of Critical Role take place. It is entirely created by Game Master Matthew Mercer. The second campain of Critical Role (each story forms a campain) takes place in Wildemount, an Exandrian continent.
